7 Days Left… Should I be preparing? Maybe?
No. Instead I should just be going around and doing a bunch of Kansas City things. I’ve spent much of the last week or so going to several stereotypical Kansas City places with the family. This basically gives me the opportunity to plug the best part of KC: food.
Last week was a trip to Stroud’s, a famous old KC pan fried chicken place. This means delicious chicken noodle soup, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and cinnamon rolls. If you are ever in KC, go to there. You will leave stuffed, and will not regret it.
The second stop, and most important one, was Jack Stack, of course. This place should be a mandatory destination for each and every visit to KC.
The pure meaty goodness of their beef and pork burnt ends cannot adequately be explained with words. They must be experienced. So I won’t even try. Regardless, when I get back from London you people not from here should come visit me and eat. Because it is the best way to spend your time here.
